Trager Brown's Eagle Scout Project

Donation protected
In August of 2017, my brother died from an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), also known as a brain bleed. That following summer, my Boy Scout Troop planted a tree in his memory.  Taggy’s Tree is a maple located at the western entrance of the East Brandywine Township Park. It is on the right at the corner where the walking path crosses the road. It is the entrance further down from the school. There is an engraved stone under the tree and two American flags, as Taggy loved the flag.  I realized that the area the tree was located was a little bland. I decided that making a garden would give a resting place for people jogging or walking along the trail nearby and beautify this section of the park.

The plan is to create a garden around Taggy's Tree that would have a brick paver walking path and two benches.  The garden's dimensions would be approximately 53' long by 24' wide and three to four flower beds.  We expect to use plants that are resistant to the local animals such as boxwoods, black eyed susans, butterfly bushes and daffodils.  The plan is to begin installation of the garden in September and finish the installation by November of 2020.

Please consider making a donation and no donation is too small!  All the funds collected here will be used to buy materials and tools to build the garden.  All the remaining or excess money from the project will be donated to the Coatesville Food Pantry (CYWA).  I am trying to obtain all my funds by September 15th so I can start the project as soon as possible.
