Tragedy Leaves 2 Children Without Mother

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rhonda Palmisano and our whole family is grieving the loss of my niece, Michelle (Carmouche) Collins. Michelle was raised in St. Rose and went to Destrehan High School, Class of 1999. Michelle relocated to a suburb outside of Houston where she was raising her young family and teaching at Smith Elementary in Magnolia, Texas.

She unexpectedly and tragically passed away Friday, January 26th.

I am starting this fundraiser for my sister-in-law, Julie Palmisano Jackson, who will be raising the children after the tragic loss of their mother--her precious daughter.

Michelle Collins was a beloved mother and elementary school teacher in her early 40's. She was dedicated to her children, and as one of her close friends wrote: "Michelle never let us go very long without a play date, coffee date, zoo adventure, slip-n-slides in the backyard, healthy snacks....the list goes on." Sharing and caring with a big beautiful heart was her hallmark. Love and faith were her guideposts.

Michelle is irreplaceable. Her two young children under 10 have lost so much and will need intensive therapy and support to adjust to their new lives without their loving mom. This fundraiser is being posted so that all who knew and loved Michelle can participate in the upbringing of these children and help close that gap--just a little.

We all feel helpless in this time of grief, but we know that Jesus is watching out for us and these children as they grow.
