Tradd and Ashley Polk Murray's Baby Journey

Family and friends-

As you know, Ashley and Tradd are an amazing couple pursuing their dream to start a family of their own.

In 2014, Ashley was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, something that’s affected many aspects of her life and unfortunately, not allowed her to carry a child of her own. This hereditary condition has been linked to a mutated gene that affects the heart muscle and has a 50% chance of presenting itself in their children.

Together, Tradd and Ashley have chosen the route of surrogacy. So far, this process has included IVF hormone treatments, egg retrieval, creating the genetic probe to identify the mutated heart gene to prevent it from passing on and genetic testing for the embryos. In the months to come, the process will begin with the surrogate. This includes hiring a lawyer, more hormone treatments, implantation of the embryo and other expenses that pregnancy entails.

Ashley and Tradd are not the type to ask for funds, but we want everyone in their village to be given the opportunity to be included and support this deserving family as they can!
