Earlier this month, the world lost a beautiful soul far too soon. Emily Bartz-Johnson was just 18 years old—a radiant, creative, and deeply loving young woman. She was funny, artistic, sensitive, and full of life. To know her was to feel her warmth. To be loved by her was a gift.

Emily’s mother, Traci Bartz, is a single mom working two jobs to make ends meet. Emily was not only her daughter—she was her best friend, her reason to keep going, and the brightest light in her life.

Last year, Emily became involved with someone who led her down a darker path. Traci did everything she could to bring her daughter back—getting her into treatment, encouraging her dreams, helping her smile again. But addiction is cruel and relentless. Emily eventually ran away with this person to Missouri—and not long after, she was gone.

The pain Traci is feeling is unimaginable. No parent should have to bury their child—let alone two. This is the second child Traci has lost, and the emotional and financial burden she now faces is overwhelming.

We’re raising funds to help Traci take time off work to grieve and heal. Your donation will allow her to:

-Take time away from her two jobs to mourn and recover
-Travel to visit her surviving child
-Access grief therapy and other mental health support
-Cover essential living expenses during this difficult time

Traci has always put others before herself. She’s a fighter. But right now, she needs our help. Let’s show her that she’s not alone, and that Emily’s memory will live on in love and support from all of us.

Thank you for anything you can give. Every donation makes a difference.
