El 2 de marzo de 2020, nosotros, siete de lxs ocho miembrxs del personal no administrativo de la PASO, hicimos una huelga pública por un período de tiempo indefinido para abordar las condiciones de trabajo tóxicas que enfrentamos internamente y exigir la remoción inmediata de Mony Ruiz-Velasco como Directora Ejecutiva (ED) de PASO. Bajo la dirección del DE, hemos encontrado varias formas de intimidación, abuso de poder, engaño, falta de respeto y un tratamiento inferior general que no refleja los valores que tenemos en PASO.

A pesar de ser una decisión difícil, ir en huelga fue vital. No se nos paga por la duración de nuestra huelga y estamos pidiendo contribuciones para compensar la carga financiera que esta huelga tiene sobre nosotrxs siete. Cualquier donación grande o pequeña es bienvenida y apreciada.

On March 2nd 2020, we, seven out of eight PASO non-management staff members, publicly went on strike for an indefinite amount of time to address the toxic work conditions we have been facing internally and to demand the immediate removal of Mony Ruiz-Velasco as PASO’s Executive Director (ED). Under the ED's direction we have encountered various forms of intimidation, abuse of power, deceit, disrespect, and overall inferior treatment that does not mirror the values we hold at PASO.

Despite this being a difficult decision, going on strike was one that was vital. We are not be paid for the duration of our strike and we are asking for contributions to offset the financial burden this strike is having on the seven of us. Any donation big or small is welcomed and appreciated.
