It is clear that no one can predict how sudden or unexpected events can happen. Furthermore, no one ever thinks that it will be you or your family who it happens to next. Unfortunately, it comes with great regret that this time it has affected the center, the main person, or how some like to say it, the “rock of my family”, my mom.

Leticia, my mom, is a well-known person for being a kindhearted woman who is always smiling and sees the best in everyone she meets. She will always be there for whoever when she is needed and doesn’t think twice when it comes to helping others. This true to both her personal and work life.

Unfortunately, she was involved in a terrible accident on Monday, December 5, 2022. My mom is a cross guard for the City of Hawaiian Gardens and helps with Melbourne Elementary, Fedde Middle School, & Artesia High School students. While she was at her station on Monday there was a collision at the intersection where she works & one of the vehicles was traveling at a ridiculous fast speed down Norwalk Blvd. and got into a collision with another vehicle which caused the vehicle that was traveling at an inadequate speed to swerve onto the sidewalk and struck my mom dead-on tossing her several feet. It’s difficult to share this because of how raw the thought of that happening is . Moreover, my mom went into emergency care immediately afterand has been in the hospital since. She will not be able to work for a while to come and thus will have no income for any expenses that may arise soon. I am asking all, that if you’re able to, that you help with whatever you can to aid alleviate some expenses. There are no small amounts, and she would be grateful with all donations regardless of the value. Everything helps.
