Every year, The ECFonics, DG ECFIN's Community Choir, give concerts at Christmas and again the summer and raise money good causes, dividing the funds between one NGO here in Brussels and another that works internationally.

This year, the choir let its retiring Director, Roy choose causes that are close to his heart.

Money collected at the concerts will therefore go to The Refuge LGBTQIA+, which is a shelter for young queer adults in situations of exclusion, family breakdown, or exile in Belgium; and to UNICEF which, amongst other things, provides humanitarian assistance to children suffering from the devastation of war focusing on countries Roy has worked in during his career.
