Toys/Batteries for Chapin Playground
Harry Chapin Playground on Columbia Hts. at Middagh St. in Brooklyn Heights is a great playground for the neighborhood children. I often drop off toys found in the neighborhood at this spot and see them lovingly adopted by all the kids of this playground.
I recently had an idea to purchase new batteries and outdoor play items that are specifically meant to withstand the wear and tear of the weather.
Creating a funding campaign where people could contribute a modest sum of money to aid in the purchasing of used toys that would then be dropped in this amazing playground is the reason for this campaign.
If this is a success I would run it at multiples times throughout the year to put toys in that are season appropriate, aquatic toys in the summer and snow toys for the winter etc.
