Hi, my name is Ines Ciprian, and it is with great joy that I'm announcing the launch of the 2024 Fenix Aurora Los Reyes Toy Drive.

I was inspired to start this project 5 years ago. As the holidays were approaching, I found myself counting all my blessings, being so grateful for all that life has given me. As I was preparing for the holidays, buying gifts for family members, I was brought back to my childhood in Dominican Republic. I grew up poor, so it wasn't every year that I would be blessed with the joy and magic of toys waiting for me on the morning of January 6th, the morning when we receive toys in our tradition.

I've been blessed in this life. I wanted to offer something in return in the form of magic to the many children who's family barely have enough to survive, let alone afford the extra expense of buying new toys for their little ones. Recognizing how important it is that families have enough to survive, I wanted to start a drive to offer something beyond the basic necessities of life. Something that points to the magic of life. Of not merely surviving, but thriving and dreaming. A brand new toy for a child can open their imagination to something beyond their day to day survival. It could reveal a dream buried deep inside. It could open up the portal that shows the child what is their gift and purpose and how they want to lead their life.

This started as a small project, spread the word through word of mouth. I've partnered with Fenix Aurora, our family owned business, and every year we've been able to raise more and more funds, reaching more and more children. This year we want to raise the most funds yet. With your help we can raise $5,000 and reach hundred of children.
