TOWNSHIP OF LANGLEY FIREFIGHTERS 24 HOUR ROWATHON
The Township of Langley Firefighters Charitable Society will be hosting our second annual 24-hour Rowathon this year in an effort to raise a $20,000 fund that will be presented to Honour House Society.
Honour House is a refuge, a “home away from home” for members of our Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment.
The event will see a minimum of two (of 14) rowing machines rowed consecutively for 24 hours straight in one hour blocks. The goal is for participants and teams to raise money and challenge themselves and each other by raising the most money and rowing the most distance.
The event will be held at Fort Strength in Langley starting at noon of Nov 11th and finishing at noon on Nov 12th.
We will have food, beer, and snack sales throughout the event brought to you by our generous sponsors. Come join us for BBQ chicken on Friday 1pm-10pm or our pancake breakfast on Saturday 8am-12pm.
Hate rowing but like charity? Come and spectate, watch your friends and family compete and sweat for a good cause. Enjoy some food and beverages while you watch.
