Townline Disc Golf Course in Meadville, PA

Hi, my name is Patrick Groover and I am fundraising to build the Townline Disc Golf Course on Townline Road in Meadville, Pennsylvania for the Crawford County Youth Soccer Association (CCYSA). This premier 9 hole course will be located behind the soccer fields navigating through scenic open and wooded areas with multiple tee areas and a variety of shot choices for players of all levels. The light terrain and easy to follow layout will make a fun outing for the whole family to enjoy.

I grew up playing soccer at CCYSA and I loved it (like many others did!). That led to playing soccer in high school, which then led to playing ultimate frisbee in college and drew full circle when I started a frisbee league at the CCYSA fields. I was asked If I had ever played disc golf (frisbee golf) and if I was interested in building a course for CCYSA visitors. Immediately, I said yes because I knew this was a perfect opportunity to build something great for the community while also creating something that I love to do.

I've played many courses throughout PA, OH, NY, and WV, doubling as research trips to find what baskets and teeing areas would work best for this course.The costs to build a disc golf course includes buying baskets, tee signs, and installing pads for throwing. Each hole will have one basket ($475.00), two tee signs ($50.00 each), and two concrete pads ($100.00 each) totaling $775.00 per hole.

Every donation will go towards building and maintaining this course which will be free to the public and will be installed with help from the local disc golf community this summer of 2024 if we can reach our goal of $6,975.00!
