Hello, this is the Henderson family. We are creating this fundraising account in regards to the long road to recovery for our son Ty Henderson. On the night of November 30, 2023; Ty was leaving his high school basketball practice and decided to order a Uber ride-share for his transportation home. The Uber Driver who accepted Ty’s ride-share request picked him up while driving under the influence and got into an at fault car accident. Ty was a passenger in the back seat and was injured very badly. He was admitted into the pediatric trauma intensive care unit with facial bone fractures, fractured ribs, a concussion along with other injuries. His Uber driver was arrested at the scene and was charged with a DUI. We have to provide around the clock care for Ty on his road to recovery. This will interfere with our consistent abilities to properly provide and take care of our financial responsibilities. We are a family that has given back to our community on so many levels. We are currently in need of help during this difficult time of adversity. We appreciate any help you can extend at this time. We thank you all for your support.
