Hi everyone!
In May, 2016 I will be travelling as a volunteer from London, Ontario to Ecuador for 3 weeks to help in a 4 month project organzied by Help, Learn, Discover (HLD) to build 20 homes for the well-deserving community of Jama.
38% of Ecuadorian families are living in poverty
(68% in Indigenous homes).
9 provinces suffer malnutrition rates between 30-40%.
6 out of 10 women report gender associated violence.
Jama is the oldest Indigenous community in Latin America. Due to the large Indigenous population, poverty rates in Jama exceed the national average.
They need our help!
Current living conditions:

New home design:
includes:
-natural cross ventilation
-earthquake resistance
-natural materials from the area
All of the proceeds I raise will benefit the community of Jama directly and I personally decide how the money is allocated upon arrival in Jama.
I know that the moment I get to Ecuador and see the living conditions of these families I will want to do everything in my power to make their lives better. In order to have the biggest impact I am asking for your help in raising funds.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to consider the lives of those living in the small community of Jama.
