TOP SECRET - Project Tianna Smith

THIS IS A SURPRISE FOR TIANNA SMITH - PLEASE HELP US KEEP IT A SECRET UNTIL WE HAVE COMPLETED FUNDRAISING

This project has the sole goal of surprising Tianna Smith with an adaptive bike on August 28th at the Steve Smith Memorial DH race at Mount Washington. The bike will be custom built to fit Tianna, and of course will include #longlivechainsaw logo on the fender. 

Background

• Tianna first rode a Bowhead bike at the Canadian Downhill MTB Championships at Kicking Horse mountain resort on August 25th. She expressed then how much she enjoyed the bike, and has since attended a demo day in Nanaimo to ride one again. Many people close with Tianna have told us that she is very keen to get a bike!
• As you are likely aware, Tianna has mobility issues with her knees and hips, so having this bike would allow Tianna to explore the island, trails around her home town, and get around resorts while attending events. Not to mention all while having a heck of a good time!!

Project Status

• Mount Washington has given us the green light to present the bike to Tianna during the race weekend. This would likely take place during seeding awards so that she can enjoy the bike the following day at the resort.
• Bowhead staff member will deliver the bike to Mount Washington if we can gather enough funding!
• Tianna will have support from other Bowhead riders who are on the island, as well as additional training and mechanical support from Bowhead staff and ambassadors.

Details

• This is a NON-PROFIT project. Bowhead has agreed to give the bike at cost.
• If we are unable to fund the bike in time to gift it to Tianna at the Mount Washington race, then we will continue to raise funds and gift it to her at a later date.
• IF extra money is raised, it will be donated to the Steve Smith Legacy Foundation.
