Tony and Maria skydive for ROAR
Donation protected
My name is Maria I've always wanted to do a skydive, so why not throw myself out a plane and raise money for the brilliant organisation ROAR. This organisation has a special place in my heart and it's been a privilege to be apart of growing it. Addiction has had a massive impact on my life and those that I love over the years for many different reasons. People do RECOVER let's break the stigma on addiction and raise awareness of recovery.
my name is Tony coming into recovery has allowed me to do things I never thought would be possible for me. A skydive is one of those things I always wanted to do but never had the time or motivation for. Being clean and sober means I can now do that. Without organisations like Roar this would never have been possible. This is why I want to raise money for them so they can support the next person into recovery.
Maria and Tony jump on the 5th of July so don’t miss your opportunity to donate now!
Reach out and recover (ROAR) Kent is a lived experience recovery organisation set up to support those affected by addiction. Founded and run by those with lived experience, we offer a unique, empathetic approach to recovery support. Our services are person focused and tailored to the needs of the individual and the community we serve. whether that would be connections to traditional recovery services, advocacy, social support or even fun sober activities, we offer a diverse range of support options that empower the individual to create lasting change in their own lives. Currently we offer drop-in peer support and referral services across Kent, a football club, poetry workshops and cooking groups, as well as periodically providing sober social events like our upcoming Emma Urquhart Cup and previous Halloween party.
ROAR Kent connects vital services and creates a supportive community where individuals can grow and thrive. Our volunteer led team is composed of individuals with experience of addiction and the various routes to recovery, allowing them to provide first-hand guidance, support and advocacy to those who are own their own recovery journey. The diversity among our volunteers exemplifies that recovery takes many forms and is possible for everyone, if they reach out for support. We believe that through positive connection, skill building and engagement, we can help people reclaim their lives and develop the recovery capital they need to prevent relapse and live fulfilling lives beyond recovery.
All money raised will go to supporting ROAR’s live saving services.
