Tom’s Mighty Malverns Mission

Tom is a paramedic in South West Ambulance Service Foundation Trust, and a Search and Rescue volunteer with West Mercia SAR. He’s also a dad and his youngest son Dylan has cerebral palsy. At his son’s birth, Tom had the harrowing experience of resuscitating his own child, and endured 2 weeks in hospital not knowing if he’d make it home. During this time and in the two years since, we as a family have been supported by certain organisations who have helped us meet our son’s needs as well as helping us recover from the traumatic experiences we went through at that time.

This summer, Tom is determined to walk the length of the Malvern Hills and back (around 20 miles) every month to fundraise for these organisations, namely:

Worcester Snoezelen

Megan Baker House

Kids NTS

Peeps HIE

Midlands Air Ambulance

West Mercia SAR

This means 6 months of hillwalking

and 6 months of fundraising!

However much is raised will be divided equally between the 6 charities.

Each month we will be focussing on raising awareness of one of the charities in turn.
