We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming love and support we’ve received during this unimaginable time.
Tommy suffered a sudden cardiac arrest due to an undiagnosed congenital heart defect. His heart stopped, and he went into ventricular fibrillation—a condition that is almost always fatal without immediate intervention. Miraculously, my mom found him just in time. With the help of my nana and Christian, CPR was started while we waited for EMS, who arrived after nearly 17 minutes. Thanks to everyone’s quick action, Tommy’s heart was restarted, and he was stabilized with emergency care.
He spent several days on a ventilator and is now in recovery. Though he’s slowly regaining some memory, he’s still struggling with confusion and cognitive challenges. Doctors have identified the heart anomaly and implanted a defibrillator/pacemaker to prevent this from happening again.
Tommy’s road to recovery will be long and filled with unknowns, but we’re holding on to faith and gratitude—we truly witnessed a miracle.
As we face the coming months of recovery, rehabilitation, and medical follow-up, we’re asking for support. Any donations will go toward unexpected medical and life expenses during this critical time. Every bit helps more than you know.
Please keep the prayers coming.
With love and thanks,
his daughter,
Hallie Cummins (Moffitt)
