Tomáš Jakoubek Celebration of Life Fundraiser

I would like to express our endless gratitude for all your donated funds. It helped us a lot to go thru this difficult times. We used this donation to cover cost of Tomas Celebration of life and also all other necessities connected to his tragic passing.

Dear friends,

You may know Tomáš (“Blondak”) from his love for the outdoors and climbing, the Czech community here in Vancouver, his work as an architect or from the many other activities through which Tomáš displayed his passion and exuberant love for life and adventure.

Tragically, Tomáš passed away on September 16, 2023 while kayaking; one of his many outdoor pursuits.

It is difficult to summarize all Tomáš' wonderful qualities; we remember him fondly as a very kind, caring, gentle soul who had great time and understanding for everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. A deeply intelligent conversationalist: his infectious smile, sense of humour, wit and mischievous ways were always welcomed with delight. Tomáš had remarkable, boundless energy and was a “ray of sunlight”.

As friends and family, we are reaching out to all of you for assistance during this very difficult time. This fundraiser was set up to help the cost of Tomáš' celebration of life gathering and all other legal expenses.

This gathering will take place from 4-6pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the Pinnacle Hotel at The Pier (138 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver, British Columbia, V7L 0B1, Canada).

Our goal is to raise $20,000. If we exceed this goal, then any additional funds will go toward the Jakoubek family expenses. Please consider donating if you can; any amount will truly help.
