The family of Tom Banks are devastated by his unexpected passing. The money raised here will go towards medical expenses, college loans ( Tom and his wife Lynn were paying on the loans to help his boys get started in life) and any other expenses that may come up. Please read this following message so you can appreciate Tom and what he meant to everyone.
Tom was a wonderful man, father, husband, son, friend and brother that unfortunately passed away due to the complications of covid-19. Tom was a beloved co worker and respected by all who knew him. His warm personality and caring nature brought happiness comfort to anyone having a rough day. His laughter could be heard in many departments of ALPA as he made his rounds stopping and talking with anyone that spoke with him asking how they were doing and listening to people as they described their day whether is was work or home life. He was the glue that kept everyone at ALPA together and feeling like family. Tom touched so many lives with his caring gentle nature, everyone looked forward to talking to him. He was a man that could talk to executives, cleaning crew and delivery people and was never judgmental, he always accepted people for their content of character.
Tom was a loving father and his eyes would sparkle as he talked about the accomplishments and lives of his sons Robert and Jay. He was very proud that both went to and graduated college. They are the very joy Tom had in life. His wife Lynn though separated was always in his life and they shared many wonderful moments in raising two fine young men. There was never a moment in a conversation where he did not express love and respect for his wife and her accomplishments in the boys lives and at work. He supported her as much as he could.
His was the son of Ruth Banks, who kept Tom focused and concentrated on family. She is a kind and gentle soul that when you met her would demonstrate how Tom was brought up. He was a brother to Jeff Banks, who like Tom is gentle, warm and kind. Toms favorite pastimes were softball, bowling, having a beer with a friend and conversation.
Please help Toms family by donating any help is much appreciated and will go a long way in helping pay for expenses due to his passing and relieving the family of financial responsibilities left by this unexpected passing.
