Hi, my name is Eden Wuod-Maggero.
I’m a 19-year-old girl from Sweden with roots in Kenya. My mother’s story is a big part of why this journey means so much to me—she was orphaned as a baby, and at the age of three she was adopted and brought to Sweden.
This December, my mother and I will be traveling to Kenya together, not just to reconnect with our heritage, but also to give back in a meaningful way. We have been in contact with two children’s homes in Mombasa:
• Baby Life Rescue Home – caring for 29 children between the ages of 0–2.
• Children of Mercy Home – currently housing 25 children aged 12–17.
Both homes have shared with us lists of their most urgent needs. Some of the items include diapers, sanitary pads, English learning books, baby food, clothing, and toothpaste. These are basic essentials—things that every child should have access to.
That’s why we are reaching out. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your support will help us bring hope, comfort, and everyday necessities to these children. It would mean the world to us—and even more to the children who need it most.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us on this journey. ❤️
