Greetings! My name is Laura Mihaela Caprioru. I am the mother of a very special 3-year-old girl named Eva-Stefania. I have reached the desperate situation of asking for your help because I don't know how to manage to rehabilitate my little girl. At the age of 1 year and 9 months, Eva was diagnosed with Global Developmental Delay, Delay in Language Acquisition and Exposure to Autistic Elements. Although I was the first to see that we had a problem, I felt that it was not about autism, as my little girl was very present, with pronounced hypotonia. Following the shock caused by the diagnosis, I urgently started intensive therapies. In the meantime, we continued with the medical investigations, with genetic tests that were recommended to us, after which we received a diagnosis of the rare syndrome Emery Dreifuss muscular dystrophy. There is no treatment for this disease, therapies are the only possibility to ensure a normal life for my Eva. Last month we managed to do a RMN. The muscular distrofy was not confirmed on RMN. So we still have this Global Delay. We urgent have to gather 25.000 € for Thomatis Brain Lab and qll the therapies Eva needs! I know that this is a big amount for us , but not that big for a comunity willing to help.
