I am lucky enough to be going on a World Challenge trip to Morocco in July. We will be working alongside a Berber community and contributing to a local initiative. Their school is in need of better infrastructure, but is held back by the threat of flooding, soil erosion and a lack of government funding.

We will be helping on projects like :

School Building improvement

Organising sports activities

Improving the safety of the school environment

One of the requirements of being involved with this trip is to raise a significant portion of the cost. I have raised some money through various jobs completed over the last 6 months. In a final effort to raise funds I have signed up to Tough Mudder (!) hoping people might sponsor me to complete this challenge.

Tough Mudder is a 5 km assault course involving lots of mud, climbing, scrambling and assorted obstacles. I have never done anything like this before, but hope I have done enough training to get me to the finish line!
