*Help Me Put 500 Life-Saving Copies of _Beyond the Wheels_ Into the Hands of Youth and Families*
Hi, my name is Irine Asanji — many know me as Lia. I’m a single mother of two in Brampton, Canada, a self-published author of three books, a gospel singer, and a life coach.
*The morning I almost didn’t come home*
In 2019, on a heavy snow day, I was driving my kids to daycare before work. I tried to make a left turn at Finchgate and Queen Street East in Brampton, but my car wouldn’t stop. It kept sliding straight into a busy intersection. The lights ahead of me were red. Westbound and eastbound traffic was rushing by. By God’s grace, there was no car directly in front of me.
Half of my vehicle was already in the intersection. Panic hit, but I whispered a quick prayer: “God, send help now.” In that moment I felt a presence in the car. My vehicle suddenly veered right on its own, merged eastbound, and blended into traffic. Moments later I pulled into a plaza and parked. The same car that couldn’t stop minutes earlier stopped perfectly.
I turned to check my kids. From the back seat they asked, “Mom, are you okay? Jesus did that for us.” They had felt it too. We sat there in tears — tears of gratitude. How we crossed that intersection untouched is still a divine mystery.
*Why this matters beyond my family*
Before that day, I already carried a heavy burden for road safety. I avoided certain news channels because the death tolls from traffic accidents were alarming. In 2018, over 1,147 children and youth died in traffic-related accidents in Canada. In 2019, Ontario alone lost 1,132 lives. Statistics Canada reports that roughly 350 teens aged 15–19 are killed in road crashes every year.
This crisis isn’t just local. In the United States in 2026, there are 4 times more car accidents than any other country in the world. Similar patterns are repeated across North America, Europe, and beyond.
*Turning that miracle into a mission*
After surviving, I prayed for a way to make a difference. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, the answer came: write. In 2020 I finished and self-published _BEYOND THE WHEELS: APPLYING DIVINE SOLUTIONS TO ROAD TRAFFIC COMPLEXITIES_. It’s part practical wisdom, part faith — and readers tell me it’s changing how they drive, how they stay calm behind the wheel, and how they treat others on the road.
*The goal: 500 free copies for youth, families, and new drivers*
I’ve already given away copies one by one, but I can’t do this alone. Our streets in Brampton and across the GTA are becoming more dangerous. As parents, we all want peace of mind when our kids start driving.
This fundraiser will cover printing so I can donate 500 copies this year to youth, families, schools, and community groups — free of charge. Each book costs $15 to print, not including shipping.
*How you can help*
1. *Donate any amount* — every $15 puts one book into the hands of a new driver or worried parent.
2. *Share this campaign* — one share can reach the family that needs it most.
3. *Message me after you donate* — I have a special thank-you gift for every supporter.
One copy at a time, we can shift road culture toward safety, composure, and care. Your gift also helps me keep writing and publishing more resources for families.
Thank you for standing with me to protect lives on our roads.
God bless you,
*Irine Asanji (Lia)*
