Hello, my name is Tommy.

On 11/17/2023, I received a phone call that no child wants to hear. 5:27AM on a foggy morning, I was informed my dad was in the emergency room at Salem Hospital.

In a matter of hours, we were informed my dad’s mortality rate was higher than 70-95%.

He has a deep brain stem injury. This would likely leave him in a vegetative state even if he were to regain any sort of consciousness.

Our dad would need a permanent breathing tube and feeding tube. 24 hour nursing care and no guarantee to regain any sort of consciousness for the rest of his life.

I set up this account in hopes this may help alleviate any future debts, and expenses that would affect my mom and his young children of 17, 16, and 15.

It would only be allocated to immediate family emergencies and to support his surviving young children.

Currently, our dad is unresponsive at Mass General Hospital Boston, his condition remains the same. We will update if the time comes where we decide, for him to rest peacefully.

We aren’t sure how the response is, but we do appreciate whatever help is given. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and maybe love a little more for your loved ones this thanksgiving.
