Gifts for those in need!

My name is Kristina. I am a passionate Entrepreneur with a plant-based restaurant that I founded here in Edmonton, AB. I care immensely about what I do and I am incredibly blessed to be in an industry that I love so dearly. 

What most people don’t know about me is that none of this came easy for me. My childhood was very challenging for me. Couch surfing at the age of 11, and pregnant at 15. Those two things alone raised all odds in me ever becoming successful. I made a promise to myself to break the trauma cycle for my own children and family. I swore I would make something of myself and create a great life for me, and my family moving forward. I also vowed that when I was in a position to do so, I would spend the majority of my time giving back to community. 

Drug addiction and homelessness are two topics closest to my heart. Although I have never been an addict myself, I have siblings who struggle with it and I lost a sister back in December of 2021 to a drug overdose. I currently raise my niece as her mother; my other sister struggles with addiction as well. 

In recent months, I’ve reconnected with my biological mother who is currently homeless here in Edmonton. We visit often and it is because of her that I chose to take part in The Mustard Seeds Annual Christmas dinner on December 22, by donating 65 gifts bags for those in need and without a home, but I need your help!! 

 

The gifts bags will consist of a toque, gloves, a thermos and gift cards. Appreciate anything you can give!!
