Hi, my name is Abu Taher, and I am raising funds to support vulnerable women and children in my home village of Khalopar, in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
I am a UK-based doctor, originally from this village. Although I left at a very young age, I have revisited over the years and carry very fond memories of the kindness among the people there. However, even today, some of the most vulnerable members of the village—particularly women, children, and elderly individuals—continue to struggle to meet basic daily needs, including access to food and simple healthcare.
Through this small, personal initiative, I aim to provide essential support, including monthly food supplies (rice, lentils, and cooking oil) and basic medicines, to those most in need.
£15 can help support one family with food for a month, and even any small contribution can make a meaningful difference.
This is a personal initiative (not a registered charity), and I am committed to sharing regular updates with full transparency on how the funds are used.
I would be truly grateful for any support you can offer.
