Hi, my name is Juliane and my husband name is Q. Tippi Nail Lounge, our small nail salon was shut down by the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology (KBC) and we was force to closed permanently without any warning. Our salon have good record with no prior violation. We believe we are a target of discrimination and abuse of power by the KBC. The KBC also frozen my husband Q nail license so he wasn’t able to work since the closure of Tippi Nail Lounge on May 18, 2023. We are living on one income. We had to make a hard decision to put Kolby and Mochi, our two beloved dogs up for adoption because we can’t support and give them the life they deserve. We have been trying to save up money to buy a house but that dream is destroy when the KBC shut down our salon. We lost everything and struggling to survive. We are fighting our case along with others in the nail community in Kentucky for fair treatment. We lost our life saving in the salon. We need your support to help us pay legal fees to fight this case with the KBC.
