I am writing to you to request an urgent help and support for Humanity, who have been severely impacted by the recent Hurricane Malissa that struck Jamaica on the 28th October 2025

The devastation caused by the hurricane has been extensive. My family's friends' and neighbours' houses were completely destroyed by flooding; the roof was lost, and they have lost all of their personal belongings, including clothing: all types of garments and accessories.

Furniture: Chairs, tables, sofas, and other household furnishings.

Electronics: TVs, computers, smartphones, and other devices.

Appliances: Refrigerators, microwaves, washing machines, etc.

They are currently displaced and staying at local shelters and neighbors’/relatives’ houses with limited resources.

In the wake of this disaster, they are in immediate need of basic necessities to begin the recovery process. We are specifically seeking assistance with the following:

Essential supplies such as food, clean water, and clothing.

Financial aid to secure temporary housing and cover immediate living expenses

Assistance with clean-up and rebuilding efforts to make their home habitable again.

I have attached supporting documentation, including photographs and video of the damage, to verify the extent of the loss.

Any help you can provide, no matter how small, would make a significant difference in my family's and neighbours ability to get back on their feet during this incredibly difficult time. Your support would provide them with hope and the means to restore their lives.
