Heres Graeme's story
Don’t often put much of my personal life on here… however didn’t think I’d be back here 6 years later in another cancer predicament ♂️
So here goes with my recent story hope it might help you men out there as it’s a common thing apparently. Started 6/9 months ago getting up throughout the night several times needing the loo but passing not much urine each time. This progressively got worse coupled with erectile dysfunction, after my wife started to realize I wasn’t a dog on heat anymore and consulting doctor google I went to the GP. which led to a rectal examination (not pleasant) and blood tests to test the pSA levels for the prostate they told me they were sky high and I needed an MRI and biopsie from my prostate, and a camera down my urethra into my bladder to check all these areas. Im in agony now at home and waiting on the full results however they have told me I have a tumor the length of my prostate .
So you may be wondering what’s up with my face… well upon my first trip to the toilet after surgery I passed out from the pain and knocked myself out and smashed my face on the floor. Sereval stiches later and a black eye I escaped relatively unscathed. The cancer however is here to stay for the moment. Not sure what’s round the corner but wanted to let people know as I’ve had a few messages as word gets around, and most importantly to make people aware not to ignore any of these symptoms. Go get checked fellas….
All this is straight after the tough year we’ve just endured losing gems mum (the mother in law) to cancer too, it’s really taking a lot out of gem to stay strong right now. Your mum and your husband in the same 12 months is the worst luck for anyone. But we shall pull together as we always have and fight the fight regardless….
Wish me luck in my journey will update you all soon ✌✌ g ❤️
P.s. I got rushed back into hospital via ambulance in the middle of last night so I am currently back in royal Preston this time
Also on a positive I have had two men no contact me directly saying they have had similar symptoms for the last 12 months and my post has inspired them both to go and get checked out ..(Brilliant)❤️
UPDATED NEWS ON GRAEME CANCER
****************************************
Since the original plea for help things have made a dramatic change for Graeme and his family ….
Graeme’s biopsy results came back and the news is not good news…
Out of the last 30 incisions taken 26 of the can back with cancer in them …
Then they grade the cancer, they graded Graeme’s at a Gleason level of 9 it only goes to 10…
The next stage was to put dye into him to test his bones and blood..
The next stage was to speak with the consultant …
News that both Graeme and Gem were not expecting that his Cancer is so aggressive and advance that he in a nut shell and the consultants own words ( you will not be an old man am sorry tell you)…
It’s not a case of after the surgery on Tuesday which is taking out the prostate ,sminar vesicles and lymph nodes out he won’t ever be cancer free …
They say they can only prolong what time he has left now …
That being said if you know Graeme and how positive he is about everything and every situation we have no doubt he will try and beat this …
But we need help for his alternative treatment and medicines that are not offered on the NHS…
please support and get behind this lovely family ..
Whether it is £5 or £5000 what ever you guys can spare will go a long way in helping this family build new memories for the time Graeme has left and also in trying alternative medicines …
