Hi, my name is Laila Jadeer.

I’m organising a fundraiser to support an Afghan-Australian woman who has been stranded in Afghanistan for several years. She was taken there as a teenager to visit family, but was then forced into marriage at the age of 17. Her Australian passport was taken from her, and she now has three children and is living in extremely difficult financial conditions in Kabul.

Tamkin Hakim, a consular representative from Sydney, is assisting her in returning to Australia, as she is an Australian citizen. The fundraiser aims to support her with the costs of her visa application and to help her recover from the hardship she has endured.
