Help us to evacuate 6 families from Gaza

Dear supporters,

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is Ahmed, a Palestinian citizen originally from Gaza, but currently residing abroad. Despite my physical distance, my heart remains with my family who still reside in Gaza – my father, mother, siblings, their spouses, and children, totaling nearly 30 individuals. They are trapped in a dire situation, enduring ongoing violence and threats.

For months I've hoped the war will stop and somebody will intervene to stop the brutal attacks, I was wrong, the attacks kept coming, I waited until I couldn't ! Just last 18th of Feb. 2024, we tragically lost over 32 of our relatives who lived over the street from my family's home in a brutal attack. The situation is devastating.

At this point, I felt the world is collapsing around me, I knew I couldn't leave me family waiting any longer, Gaza has become a place of unimaginable suffering, with innocent lives being lost in mass atrocities over the clock.

I urgently seek your assistance to evacuate my family from this perilous situation. However, the costs associated with relocation are significant, estimated at around 200k-250k USD. Time is of the essence.

Allow me to introduce you briefly to my family:

- My father, a retired English teacher, now aged 71.

- My mother, also retired, was a mathematics teacher and is now 61.

- My sisters, including Layla, Omayma and Asma, along with their families, complete our close-knit family.

- My brother Jamal, a 29-year-old math teacher, is accompanied by his wife and two children.

- Another brother, Ayman, aged 27, is a mechanical engineer.

The process of relocating an extended family presents numerous challenges, particularly financial ones. Your support in this endeavor would mean everything to us. Any contribution, large or small, brings us closer to ensuring the safety and well-being of our loved ones.

Could you elaborate on your strategy for utilizing the funds?

Our only feasible route for departure is through the Rafah border, jointly operated by Egypt and Palestine. Unfortunately, these borders are currently closed, and the Egyptian Government imposes a steep crossing fee of 5k USD per person. While these fees are exorbitant and indicative of profiteering from the conflict, we find ourselves without alternative means of departure.

This fee constitutes the primary obstacle we must overcome, with the remainder of the funds allocated towards standard relocation expenses.

I am very sad for losing our very good and nice relatives, I don't want the same happening to my family, my relatives are gone and its too late to save them (there are survivors and I learned they might launch their own campaign to help them), my family still got a chance, with your support we can bring them to safety.
