Assistance in helping to care for Jack & the pets
Donation protected
Facing the loss of my Aunt Kathy has been one of the most difficult things to accept, as she & my Uncle Jack have been parents to me since I was six years old. During the past year, as Aunt Kathy’s physical health began to deteriorate once she was diagnosed with lung cancer, Uncle Jack’s mental health was called into question. To make matters worse, Uncle Jack suffered from a severe fall, hitting his head. The fall landed him in the hospital with bleeding in his brain. The doctors have informed me that Uncle Jack will not fully recover from this fall. He now suffers from severe vascular dementia due to the bleeding accelerating his previously functioning dementia. Now that Aunt Kathy has passed away, Uncle Jack is alone and although he is semi-functional, he is unable to maintain independence without proper care, constant assistance and professional help. I want my Uncle Jack to remain in the familiar surroundings of the house that he and Aunt Kathy made a home for us, but in order to do that I need to secure the funds to pay for the help that he needs. I want to keep my Uncle Jack at home in the familiar surroundings with our family and their dog Ellie, that is why I am asking for donations to help with the necessary around the clock care that he needs, Aunt Kathy & Uncle Jack were always there for me & now is my time to give back, but I need help to do it.
On top of the care that Uncle Jack needs, Aunt Kathy left behind her rescue cats that I made a promise to her that I would do my absolute best to care for them, most of whom are seniors themselves. For anyone that knew Aunt Kathy knows how much these cats meant to her and her passion to help with rescue animals. Any extra help towards their medical care would be very grately appreciated.
Thank you for any financial help you can give to this cause. It is a true act of love and kindness.
