Happy New Year. I’m sure most of us would agree that 2020 will go down as one of the most bizarre, challenging and frustrating years of our lives.
Fortunately, in our community, many of us have been spared from the financial effects and stresses of the virus that so many families have fallen victim to. In the past several months, I have seen such generosity from this group anytime we have been called upon to donate to a family in need. This outpouring of generosity and willingness to help others seems to be a common thread among us all.
That said, none of this would exist if it weren’t for the incredible efforts of TNMS founder, Alex Spitz. Over the last 9 years she has brought together thousands of new moms and been a fundamental part of our journey into motherhood. She is the reason we have this amazing group to turn to for anything and everything. I personally couldn’t be more fortunate to be a member of such an amazing group of moms and am so thankful to have a forum at my fingertips to turn to for thoughts, insight and guidance.
Unfortunately, 2020 took its toll on TNMS. The pandemic has been financially devastating for TNMS and has prevented Alex from offering many of the classes she was able to offer in the past. She is now faced with the difficult decision of what to do from here - the longer the pandemic goes on, the more difficult it is for her to keep TNMS afloat.
I’d like to call on all of us right now to help a mama in need. The mama who brought us all together, and who would love to continue bringing new moms together in the future, needs our help. Anything, no matter how small, will go towards helping Alex continue to offer her services, to in turn help all of us moms out there and those new moms to come. For all of you able to donate, please do so, so that we all can continue to reap the benefits of this amazing group and allow new moms in our community to do the same.
