This is my best friend Taylor,

and that’s her best friend Anastin. Taylor and Niko are the most loving pet parents I have ever met, their dogs are their entire world. Ana has recently fallen very sick. On September 5th they rushed her to the vet due to excessive vomiting of blood, Ana had emergency surgery the very next day on Taylor and Niko’s 5 year anniversary. She was put on a wide variety of medications that didn’t seem to help as she continued to vomit blood. She couldn’t keep down any food, water or meds so they brought her back for a Barium Serum test where they found a foreign material in her throat. They attempted another surgery but didn’t have the right technology and that’s when they were sent to Scarborough to a specialist who could preform the surgery. They found no foreign material but did find that she had pneumonia, esophagitis and irregular tissue to the right of her incision. Sweet Anastin has been in and out of Eastern Maine Emergency Vet and Brewer Vet dozens of times. She had a two night hospitalization at the Maine Veterinary Medical Center and still has to go back for chest x-rays. With all of this happening Taylor and Niko are making a big move to a new home before the end of this month. They are over $10,000 deep in vet bills, while also having to put down a massive security deposit at their new house. They would never ask for help, in fact they are always the people helping others. I can’t count how many times Taylor and Niko have saved my ass they are the most selfless people I’ve ever met and it would mean the world to them and me if we could band together and return the favor. Just $1 from all of my friends would make a huge difference, or even just sending some positive energy while they attempt to heal their baby.
