Back in April, I lost my job because my position at the company was eliminated. My husband does work but I was the main breadwinner for the family. I went from bringing home almost $5000 a month to receiving $1800 a month on unemployment. After 6 months, the unemployment stopped. I have been consistently looking for a job but I do not have a college degree and not many companies will hire someone with experience over someone with a degree. I have recently started doing some work with the school district as a substitute secretary and campus aide but it will be 5+ weeks before I receive a check. Needless to say, we have cleaned out our savings to pay bills over the last several months. We are now at a point where we are unable to pay rent, electric & car payment for December. I'm at a total loss on what to do next so I'm hoping the kindness of strangers can help us! I assure you that when we are back on our feet, we will pay it forward!
