Global Medical Brigade, Honduras 2019

Hello Everyone!! Some of you may or may not know that in the last few years, volunteering has been something I've become very passionate about! Last year I even joined an amazing National Service Sorority at NAU called Omega Phi Alpha that focuses on community service on different levels from locally to internationally. 

One of my goals before graduating is to go with the NAU chapter of Global Medical Brigades to volunteer and offer health services to under served areas in Honduras. 

From their website: "Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems...hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops."

This is a great opportunity that I'm so excited to (hopefully) be a part of!! Not only does it include two of my passions (volunteer/service and medicine), but will also be an amazing, insightful experience to add to my resume and applications to Med/PA programs. I'm really hoping I can raise enough money to afford to go this summer and with YOUR help, it might be possible!
