Tobias Kennedy-Matthews Community Fundraising 2025

Hi, my name is Tobias and I’ve spent the last 8 years pushing myself into new challenges in order to raise money for various causes including £35,000 for my community Christmas Hamper fund which saw everything you need for Christmas Day delivered to 1500 local households over 5 years.

In 2017 I started learning how to ride a bike properly, before that my biking experience included staying just about upright, and romantically hiring a bike at the palace of Versailles only to crash into my wife and almost knock her into the canal. By the end of 2019 I had cycled to Rome and this is where my fundraising journey started.

2025 is a new year and I have given myself a new challenge, this year i will be taking on a series of Triathlons in order to raise money for 4 charities close to mine and my families hearts. First step, learn how to swim! I had lessons as a child but hadn’t been in a pool for 20 years. I have had a few lessons at Make Waves swim school and I can now do a few lengths without drowning. With all this in mind I have entered my first 2 Triathlons, Exe Valley on May 11th and Tavistock on 13th July with the hope of also entering Bideford on 15th June
