Jade's Story
Beschermde donatie
I write this on behalf of Jade’s family to share her story and raise awareness while we try and learn to live with such a huge loss in our lives.
Jade was a very private person and didn’t share the news of her diagnosis with many. In 2020 the world changed for everyone, but this was just the start of our heartbreaking journey when Jade was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. A diagnosis that is hard for anyone but such a shock for a 33-year-old beautiful woman with everything to live for.
Jade underwent three major surgeries and chemotherapy without the option of having a loved one with her due to COVID-19 restrictions. Despite this, she did not complain once and even until the very end, she was always making sure everybody else was ok. Throughout her diagnosis and treatment, she was courageous and dignified.
Jade touched the lives of so many people and was loved by everyone she met. She had such a kind and caring nature and the best sense of humour, she had us all in stitches with her witty one-liners! She was so full of life. She knew what she wanted and how she liked things.
Those close to Jade will know she has an equally beautiful daughter, Rosie, who has just this month started secondary school. There are no words that can soften the loss of a parent, and nothing or nobody will replace Jade. Like all parents, Jade had ideas of what she wanted for Rosie, places she wanted to take her and things she wanted them to experience together. Jade was devoted to Rosie in every single way, and she really was the best mother.
No gifts or flowers are required in Jade’s memory. We know there are many people near and far that may not be able to be at the funeral in person to pay their respects. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family welcome a kind donation which will be held in trust for Rosie so that in the future, she can live out the plans that she made with her mam, go to all the places Jade wanted to take her and experience life to the full, just as Jade did.
We thank everyone for their kind words of support, and we take comfort in knowing Jade is now at peace.
Just wanted to thank everybody for their generosity and support, on behalf of the family we are truly overwhelmed
your kind donations will be transferred into an account held in Angela Bowers name (sister of Debie Watson) (mother of Jade Bower) (nan of Rosie) and used for Rosie to live out some wonderful life experiences
