Update: This evening after a lot of thinking and talking over the budget with the family, we decided to increase the amount so we can have more time to gain lasting stability. Originally we had only focused on increasing the amount when we found we couldn't fill the gap for rent. Now we've calculated the amount we will likely need to fill in the financial gap through the next 3 months. The new amount is $6,500 and this new target will aid us with rent only as we stretch the rest of the budget to cover our essentials. We've already used the previous donated amounts to help us in this, but now we have a solid plan rather than doing month to month requests. We hope that with this new plan in place we can better prepare for the times ahead.

For all of you who have helped us so far, some might not understand the powerful breath of hope you've provided for this family. I lack the words to properly express the ways you all have eased the weight of fear and tension within our family. The help has been a wonderful reminder about the kindness of others and trusting people when you need help. You all have brought laughter back into this household.
