Hi, my name is Sara and this handsome lil fellow is my nephew James. When he was just 3 weeks old he was physically abused by his mother and her boyfriend. They caused his fragile lil body a broken leg and 5 fractures. Whom could fathom that a mother would harm her child or allow anyone to cause such harm to her baby but we believe she did. CPS took baby James away from her and placed him with my brother and our parents. The saddest part of this never ending story is that neither of these heartless souls paid for their crimes and justice has not been served for this lil Angel. The mother has always been allowed visitation and now at 18 months old she has filed to take James back into her custody. Why, what are her motives? She is still with the same boyfriend whom she allowed to harm baby James and whom has shown violent tendencies. She is now pregnant and we know she blamed  her boyfriend for baby James injuries in court. So if someone hurt your baby, if they had violent tendencies why would you remain in the relationship or want to bring your child into that environment? She assured the court at the time she had no contact with him, which now makes us believe more than ever she was involved in the abuse James endured. There are so many unknowns, so many unanswered questions that we may never know the full truth, because baby James is too young to tell his side. What we are sure of is that we want to keep baby James safe. He has been in a safe loving home with stability and we would like to keep him it that way. My brother would like to hire a lawyer and fight until the end for full custody and I would like to help him. Unfortunately the retainer is $5000 and we just do not have that at this time. We ask that if you find if in your heart to give, $5, $10, any contribution you can it would be greatly appreciated. We don't want another Gabriel Hernandez's case, especially for this lil man that means the world to us. We ask that you please help us fight for Justice for James. He is such a healthy and happy baby with his dad and grandparents.
