Hi, I’m Melissa. I’m a lifelong creative and caretaker of animals, people, and the environment. I have autism, ADHD, and PTSD, which make daily life a challenge, but I stay positive and I am determined to rebuild my life. My service animal, Flüfen, provides medical alert support for my PTSD and is a constant source of stability and hope.

Right now, I need help. I lost my home and nearly all my belongings. Shortly after, my vehicle was totaled by another driver. It had become my primary shelter while I was searching for housing near school. I cannot afford to replace it. I used my remaining funds on temporary shelter.

Hospital outreach has placed me in a motel to recover, but this is short-term. When it ends this Friday 3/20, I will have nowhere to go and no safe transportation. I recently started school, but without transportation, a camera, or basic art supplies, I’m unable to participate.

I’m ready to work and rebuild. I just need a stable starting point. Your support will help me secure safe, stable housing, cover food, transportation, and basic needs, replace essential tools so I can return to school and work, and rebuild independence and stability.
