Tiny but mighty Bink

Donation protected
Meet Miss Bianca Ruth, aka Bink. This sweet angel was born January 3, 2018. She was born with Port Wine Stain birthmarks that cover half of her face and back. Parents, Brandon and Deanna Latino had little knowledge of Port Wine Stains and the potential long term health concerns involved. It was eventually determined that the Port Wine Stains on Bink's face and back were in fact outward symptoms of Sturge Weber Syndrome, a neurological disorder marked by a distinctive port-wine stain on the forehead, scalp, or around the eye. Since her short time on this earth, Bink has undergone 7 laser treatments and continuous measurement of her eye pressures (high pressures would indicate a more serious type of SWS and also glaucoma). Recent testing has confirmed glaucoma. More concerning however, are the serious symptoms that have begun to manifest. Following her 7th laser treatment, Bink started having multiple, frequent seizures. Mom and Dad rushed her to Rockford Mercy Hospital where she was then airlifted to Lurie's Children's Hospital in Chicago. MRI's and an EEG determined abnormal brain activity and fluid build up on the left temporal region of her brain. The seizures subsided for a period of time but are now back and quite severe. While the medical team at Lurie's was attempting to determine the cause of a sudden fever, Bink suffered a seizure lasting over 30 minutes. Our Tiny but Mighty Bink was immediately transferred to the ICU for careful monitoring. As of today, September 28, 2018, Bink has been officially diagnosed with Sturge Weber Syndrome Type 1.
It goes without saying that this precious baby holds an extra special place in our hearts and she has endured more in her short time on this earth than most of us would in a lifetime. Bianca Ruth lights up every room. She is a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, a cousin and an inspiration of strength. Bink and her family are asking quite humbly, if you are able and willing, please help in assisting with the medical expenses that they are currently incurring and the inevitable expenses of the future.
