The Timber Frame Folly has served as a beautiful common space for music, theater, workshops, weddings, memorials, and all the sorts of gatherings that define Community since it was erected in 1994. And it’s time we gave back and ensure that this important local commmunity space continues. Though some recent repairs have been done to get through the summer, the long term plan is to rip out the existing floor, which is various layers of plywood patches on joists that need replacing, create proper drainage, and install an entirely new floor throughout. Work will begin late September after the summer shows and workshops are completed. If you were ever a part of the Folly, please step up and contribute, and if you’ve never been to the Folly help us to return it to the place you want to come hang out. We have many skilled craftspeople standing by to do the work, but materials are ever more expensive by the day. Help us get the materials we need to restore and maintain the Folly to its former standing and help support Creative Chaos for the Common Good!
