My name is Tim Johnson and I am running for Genesee County Sheriff.
I am compelled in this mission to step forward and offer the voters of Genesee County another choice. Someone with strong leadership skills who not just talk the talk, but a candidate who has and will walk the walk with a tough agenda on crime. I am Dedicated, Qualified, and well Experienced with over 35 years in law enforcement and 11 years as a US Air force veteran.
WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF?
* I am compelled to seek this office because keeping my community safe is my number one goal. I am determined to be proactive to crime not reactive. I want to foster the kind of environment that welcomes new business and new job opportunities for our citizens. In order to handle this job as your new Sheriff; I have the right combination of administrative experience , military experience, training, and street experience to get the job done.
WHAT IS MY PLATFORM?
As the former chief of police for the City of Flint and a concerned resident I am seeking your vote for becoming your next sheriff of Genesee County.
* To be fiscal responsible with county resources, using technology to fight crime.
* Curb recidivism - jail over crowding
* Increase safety & services for seniors.
* Youth program development,
* Community outreach programs to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the citizens.
* Drug enforcement
* Department unity; allowing the officers to have an open voice without retaliation on how to fix what’s broken within the department, and to restore the trust among the ranks.
