On Thursday, August 1st , 2019 , more than a hundred Tibetans who had been living in critical condition in makeshift camps in Conflans fin d’Oise ,due to lack of proper shelter , were forced to leave under the Mayor’s order . They were given no other alternatives than two saturated addresses in Paris where there is less than minimal opportunity for shelter .
To add to that , Paris being a big city where it is more vulnerable to sleep in roads , subways and residential areas , more than a hundred of Tibetans had to go looking for a place to sleep , on their own , with no proper geographical guidance ,carrying heavy loads and some even leaving behind their only belongings due to its heavy weight .

On that very same day , they were forced to leave three times consecutively, one after another or rather from one hope in vain after another , not being welcomed anywhere they tried to settle .

At this very moment , there are more than a hundred Tibetans living in tents in lisière saint-jean near the forest area in Achères , a station away from their previous settlement area .

They have no access to WATER , no access to ELECTRICITY making them very vulnerable during the dark hours , no access to proper hygiene and sanitation with no temporary toilets, let alone a proper sanitation system !

The lack of proper nutrition due to shortage of the first necessities and the lack of proper hygiene are already showing signs in form of rashes in some of them , legs swelling up , eye problems and many other physical problems making them weak and fragile when physical and mental strength seems to be the most needed to withstand the degrading critical state !

On Monday , August 5th ,2019 , the Mayor of Achères came to the tibetan makeshift camp area to notify them to leave the place .

Fortunately , for the officials of the delegation of the perfecture of Yvelines, the Mayor’s notification was overruled . The Tibetans now have probably , till the end of the month to leave the place .

The OFII ( Office Française d’Immigration et d’Intégration et ) in charge of migrants and refugees’ integration in France , are to inspect the Tibetan makeshift area and offer possible  shelter facility .

France is now in a holiday period and therefore for them to show up will take time . Till then , the only option is what  we have in front of our eyes - sad to say - but a makeshift camp with no basic needs , in a very dehumanising state with the sense of dignity being thrown away in the name of - shortage of proper shelter - A holiday period - hollow essence of solidarity and humanity !

Just the day after - the rain poured in , as if to add more struggle to the never ending hardship ! Without any proper organisation , we tried our best to save the belongings from being soaked in rain ! All our effort to come up with a solution  against the rain -in vain!

We have been able to provide the first wave of essential needs such as WATER ! , vegetables , rice, milk, hygiene products , bread , blankets , bedsheets etc

But we need your help to continue !

So , I urge you to help us provide them more than what we can , with your generous help

We have to act now !

Please - DONATE !
