Hi family, friends and community, we need your help!

I’m writing this on behalf of my little sister Tiara and our family. We hope to raise funds to help Tiara battle against a rare lung cancer (Neuroendocrine Neoplasm Atypical Carcinoid) that has spread to her lymph nodes and potentially to other areas of her body.

Tiara had a cough since the beginning of the year that wouldn't go away, which led to many doctor visits and tests. Finally, the second half of the tests led us to her diagnosis.

We've been remaining optimistic in regards to this all. Still, it’s come at such a difficult time that we are now reaching out to our family, friends and community to help us financially in this battle.

Tiara’s 30th birthday just passed in May. She's always been bubbly, funny and sweet. Such a kind soul to all. It brings us much sadness to think of her suffering and watching her quality of life decrease dramatically this past year.

Tiara lives alone on the spectrum and has always been good with her routine and taking care of her own business. However, this past year we’ve witnessed a massive decline in how she’s been living her life. So we’ve been taking care of Tiara, her fur babies and everyday chores from cleaning, shopping and cooking nutritious meals. My mother, Tamara and her partner have made sure that she doesn’t go hungry because, in the beginning, she had lost a lot of weight quickly. Tiara brushed it off as if she was drinking more water and lost it naturally. However, that wasn’t the whole story; she had been exhausted and bedridden for months. If she’s out of bed, she's coughing fits that cause her severe nausea.

The doctors don’t know much about this rare lung cancer. She's currently stage 3 but potentially stage 4, depending on the following tests. However, we can as a family do what we can on the outside to help Tiara in any way possible until we can start any potential treatments. We intend to give her the best care by having my mother by her side, doing what she does best. My mother is a PSW (personal support worker), so she has over a decade of experience caring for those who need help.

With your donations, we will be able to cover costs of travel, gas; accommodation need be, food and any other unexpected additional costs that may occur. Your donations will also help cover wages lost due to our family not being able to continue working as we have been doing everything we can to help take care of Tiara and be there for her during this time.

Since there is little research on this rare cancer we will also be donating a percentage of the funds to help others who are battling this rare cancer.
