Every day, parents walk into hospital full of hope — and leave with empty arms. Stillbirth and neonatal loss don’t just take a baby; they take dreams, futures, and a piece of a family’s heart. The world keeps moving, but for those parents, time stands still.

Sands is there in those moments no one ever prepares you for. They offer support when words fail, when grief feels unbearable, and when parents feel completely alone. They help families honour babies who were here for a moment, but loved forever.

This January, I’m challenging myself to run 2km every single day to raise money for Sands. It’s a small physical challenge compared to the lifelong impact of baby loss, but it’s my way of showing up — step by step — for families who need support when they need it most.
