Three Stars in Spring

Donation protected
On Saturday 26th of April, children, members of staff from Sholing Junior School and parents and friends from the wider community will be completing a walk in memory of three of our wonderful pupils - Vlad (17) Mario (14) and CJ (7). We will be remembering many stories and memories of the boys as we walk.

This Spring we will be raising money for V.L.A.D. Outreach CIC, V.L.A.D. Outreach CIC was born from a deep sense of loss and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. The organisation is named in memory of Vladimir, a young man who tragically passed away at the age of 17. His family, devastated by his death, felt that Vladimir had fallen through the cracks of the mental health system, unable to find the support he needed. They recognised that, like so many others, he had faced a struggle with loneliness and isolation, and was ultimately drawn into harmful online spaces that compounded his sense of hopelessness.

At Christmas 2024 some of our team also reached out to the homeless living on the streets in Southampton offering them support.

Since it's conception in October 2024 the company has recruited almost 100 volunteers in different roles, peer mentors, crisis support, counsellors, psychologists and more. The money raised from this walk will go towards getting DBS checks for our volunteers so they can work with vulnerable people and give them the support they are desperately needing, as well as covering costs for therapy room hire.

If you would like to join the walk at any time, you are welcome. We are planning to stay together as a group covering roughly three miles each hour. If you do choose to take part, please ask for your friends and families to sponsor your leg of the walk through this page and ask them to leave a message for you. We are asking each participant to raise as much as they can. The idea is that the group grows as the day goes on.

To meet the group at the location that best suits you, please remember the departure times are approximate, so you’ll have to be there early or be prepared to wait. (See the table in the picture). If your child would like to take part, a parent must supervise them.

We will enjoy a beverage at Guildhall Square when we finish.

It is a beautiful walk, wherever you join it.

Let's see if we can raise some money!

With Best Wishes
