Three Nova Survivors Speak Out to Help Others
Niv, Shay, and Amit, three 22 year old IDF reservists from Ashdod, woke up at the Nova festival in Israel on October 7, celebrating life and joy, still in party mode, to shots, rockets, and parachuting terrorists. Blocked in the parking lot with only one exit, stuck on the road, fleeing terrorists on foot, seeing people behind them struck down, hiding in the bushes. Not sure which direction to run, Waze not working, seeing policemen behind them being blown up, chased by terrorist vehicles. Picking up other survivors, cramming them into abandoned vehicles. Eight hours of panic, no food or water, no direction, they eventually reached Netivot, a religious community, on Saturday afternoon. No one there had heard about the massacre because they do not use electronics on Shabbat. They were met with disbelief. It was still to dangerous to return home—terrorists were on the roads.
After the LA community brought them over for a week of PTSD therapy, they decided to share their story, the truth of the horrors Hamas perpetuates, in the Miami community. We are looking to raise money to house, feed, and sustain them, and use whatever is leftover to help other heroes and victims.
