Threatened, Sued, and in Hiding—Please Help Me Stay Safe

A brave warrior needs our help…..I am good friends with her. Here is a message from “Robin”.

“I’ve spent the last 15+ years fighting for justice. I’ve organized workers, built progressive and independent campaigns, and called out systems of oppression all around the country. I’ve always done this work out of love—for people, for truth, for liberation.

But now, that work has put me in real danger.

I’ve been harassed, doxxed, and threatened—not just with political retaliation, but with explicit threats of violence from white extremists in my area. These aren’t empty words. I’ve had to wipe my digital presence, stop working, and go into hiding. I live every day under a cloud of fear—for myself and the people around me and the closest people in my life.

On top of that, I’m now facing hefty libel lawsuit meant to silence me. I’m being sued 7 digits for speaking out—for using my voice to call out injustice. It’s a blatant attack on my freedom of speech, and it’s meant to drain me emotionally and financially.

I do believe I can win this case. But even so, the burden has already taken its toll. Just searching and securing legal help has emptied my savings. I have no safety net. And because of how dangerous things have become, I have to remain anonymous right now.

I know that’s hard. I know it’s awkward to ask for help without showing my face. But please—trust me.

I’m a real person. I’ve been in this movement for years. I’ve helped others through their hardest moments. And now, I’m the one in need.

I’m asking for support to:

   •   Pay for basic survival needs—rent, food, medical care

   •   Cover legal defense costs for this attack on my speech

   •   Prepare for emergency relocation if things escalate
